The app and its content

SYNCopated — its software, user interface, design, text, graphics, and the arrangement of all of these — is created and owned by Cape Wesley and is protected by copyright. Copyright arises automatically on creation; this notice asserts it. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App except as the App's normal functionality allows or as permitted by law.

Trademarks

“SYNCopated” and the SYNCopated logo are trademarks of Cape Wesley. Other names and logos referenced on this site or in the App are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify their products.

Third-party software and music

SYNCopated includes open-source software and openly-licensed or public-domain musical works. These remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licences; Cape Wesley claims no ownership of them. Sources and licences are listed on our Credits page.

Content you upload

You keep the copyright in the scores, notes, and recordings you upload. You grant Cape Wesley a limited licence to store and transmit that content so the App can work, as described in our Terms of Use. You are responsible for having the right to share anything you upload — do not upload copyrighted scores you are not licensed to use.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe material available through SYNCopated infringes your copyright, email services@syncopated.app with:

your name and contact details;
identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
where the material is in the App (the room, score, or other location);
a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

We review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material promptly. We may also remove content and suspend accounts of repeat infringers.
